The PQ+ program is organized by the Arts and Theatre Institute as part of the 14th Prague Quadrennial (PQ) in the context of international collaboration activities in the contemporary performing arts. PQ+ will present to audiences not only Czech performing arts productions accentuating contemporary stage design, but also, for the first time, the work of international artists. In response to an open call announced by the ATI, many inspiring projects applied for the programme. The programme, compiled with the participation of the PerformCzech Dramaturgical Board and the PQ artistic team, will primarily present productions in the fields of interdisciplinary and physical theatre, dance, performances and installations, as well as exhibitions and guided tours. All productions will either be free of language barriers or will have English interpretation or subtitles. Visitors will have a chance to acquaint themselves with outstanding Prague centres for progressive and experimental contemporary art, such as A Studio Rubín, DOX, Alfréd ve dvoře Theatre, Archa Theatre, Kasárna Karlín, La Fabrika, New Stage of the National Theatre, NoD Roxy, Alta Studio, Ponec – Theatre for Dance, Studio hrdinů and Venuše ve Švehlovce, and the Czech Centres, Italian Cultural Institute, Prague Creative Centre and Chvaly Chateau have also supplied venues.
