„The world is made up of stories, and we are their actors. Sometimes we appear in the main roles, sometimes in supporting roles.“
Tomáš Svoboda, curator of the exhibition Objects PQ2015
Stories matter. Stories can be long or short, good or bad, but they always matter. And if the world is made up of stories, so is the Prague Quadrennial.
2017 marks 50 years since the Prague Quadrennial was founded. And whereas histories of PQ founders, PQ awardees, and Golden Triga winners can easily be found on our website, small stories of what we call the „PQ extended family“ remain largely untold.
In Fall 2017, we are launching a brand new digital project, where all the PQ narrations will be presented simultaneously in a non-linear archive, creating a sort of „collective memory“.
To accomplish that, we need your help!
We are looking for any material e.g. video, jpg image, text …,
that would contain your personal memory of the PQ.
Did you record any video or take a photo on your smartphone during any edition of the PQ?
Share it with us!
Do you remember a specific situation or encounter you experienced during the PQ?
Don´t keep it to yourself!
Is there a story or opinion you would like to share?
We´re looking forward to hearing from you!
There are no limits regarding the text length, number of images or video file format,
just remember that by sending us your PQ story you agree that it will be published online, and it might be edited to meet the technical demands of the website.
We are looking forward to hearing from you now through May 30, 2017. Please send your content to firstname.lastname@example.org.
