Architecture Section announced
The Architecture Section of the next PQ, with the title NOW/NEXT Performance Space at the Crossroads, aims to provoke architects, theatre-makers, and the public into re-thinking the potential of performance space in the new century by creating a dynamic meeting space at the PQ 2011 for presenting, representing, and discussing new ideas. The Section lead by Commissioner Dorita Hannah will be conceived as a site-specific installation in Prague Crossroads – St. Anne’s Church, housing national exhibits, commissioned media screenings, an open laboratory, as well as other scheduled and spontaneous events, including guest lectures, panels, and presentations.

The Jury of the next PQ
Nine prominent artistic personalities from all over the world and from different performance disciplines have accepted the invitation to be part of the international jury that will select the winners of the PQ 2011 Awards, especially the prestigious Golden Triga for the Best Exposition.

The PQ in Rome on April 19th-cancelled
The PQ will be presented by its artistic director, Sodja Lotker, during the 3rd edition of the International Festival of Scenic Arts in Rome, on the 19th of April.

About the Festival: This edition of the IFSArts “Professional Days” spans four days – 18-21 April 2010 - of talks and presentations by internationally renowned professionals, centering on topics that embrace lighting systems and dynamic large-scale projection; temporary and permanent installations in a contemporary setting; lighting and its modification of an urban context; evolution of the scenic space: built architecture of contemporary theatre and scenic arts; architecture and film design: a look at European production designers and architects; digital applications for set design, theatre acoustics and sound design, and European health and safety regulations for stage management and design.
In addition, a number of workshops will be offered on installations and scenic construction,mechanical engineering, software programs, lighting systemsand sound design, conducted by leading companies servicing the entertainment sphere.

Call for Belgrade Scenography Expanding symposium
The registration for the symposium Scenography Expanding 2: On Artists/Authors is open
July 9 – 11, 2010, Belgrade, Serbia
Speaker presentations, panel discussions, and workshop sessions investigate the question of the identity of the artist/author in the conceptualization, construction and participation in hybrid scenographic and performance design spaces.
Who are the artists and teams responsible for creating contemporary scenographies in theatre, performance, architecture, exhibition, installation, and media? Is and/or how is the trans-disciplinary nature of scenographic teams reflected in the theoretical discourse on scenography? When does audience become a co-creator? When does a curator become a co-creator?

Introduction of the PQ at the Tokyo Performing Arts Market
The PQ will appear in Tokyo, March 1st-3rd. There you can ask questions, see photos and find event materials at booth 32, and watch a video presentation of the PQ on March 3rd in the Meeting room between 13,30-15,30. Read more.
Introduction of the PQ in Paris
On March 16th the PQ will gather at the Unesco House, Cinema Room – 7, place de Fontenoy, in Paris 7. A presentation, including a screening of short films, will take place from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Additional appearances of the PQ will occur during the year in different countries – you will be kept up to date.
